The H1 system is optimal for applications where high-precision and flexible lubrication through the spindle is required, both externally and internally. The finest misting effectively protects the tool and workpiece.

The H1 system covers external and internal lubrication: supply through nozzles from outside as well as through the spindle and the tool. It is therefore the variant for machines that need both, without installing two separate systems.

A note on the name: “H1” here is DropsA's system name and not the NSF H1 registration for lubricants with incidental food contact. For food-grade lubricants see lubrication in the food industry.

The limit in multi-spindle operation

In multi-spindle operation H1 works only with tools that have the same coolant channel diameter. The reason is fluid dynamics: with channels of differing cross-section connected in parallel, the wider channel takes the larger share of the aerosol and the tool with the narrower channel is under-supplied — without the system noticing.

That is exactly where it differs from the 2C system, which is explicitly designed for mixed channel diameters. If you work with uniform tools today but can foresee mixed operation, check this limit before choosing: it cannot be removed later by retrofitting.

For purely external supply at individual points, VIP4Tools is the simpler and cheaper solution.
