The 2C system is the MQL answer for machines running tools with different coolant channel diameters at the same time. That is precisely the case simpler systems do not cover: they are matched to one channel diameter and deliver the wrong dose to every tool that deviates.

A 1:100 control range
5 to 500 ml/h is a ratio of 1:100 — the widest range in DropsA's MQL programme. It is the technical answer to mixed operation: a small drill and a large milling cutter on the same machining centre differ in oil demand by exactly that order of magnitude. A system with a narrow range forces you either to flood the small tool or to starve the large one.
The viscosity window of 10 to 100 mm²/s is narrow by contrast, and deliberately so: an oil has to atomise finely, and thicker oils form larger droplets that do not cross the coolant channel. Where it is used
DropsA names CNC machining centres, transfer lines and milling machines. The common factor is the tool change during a running program: as soon as a machine changes its own tools, oil demand changes with every tool — and the system has to follow without intervention.
