Technical data and selection
GRIP is the portable MQL pump in the programme: a unit with its own half-litre reservoir that hangs on a compressed-air connection and needs no installation. It is the answer for the single machine, the retrofit and the trial set-up — anywhere a fixed installation does not pay.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Reservoir | 0.5 l |
| Air pressure | 4–6 bar |
| Output | 0–30 mm³ |
| Operating temperature | −5…+55 °C |
| Lubricant | DropsA LRT oils |

What half a litre means in practice
At 30 mm³ per shot and ten shots a minute the pump uses 0.3 cm³ per minute, roughly 18 cm³ an hour. A half-litre reservoir therefore lasts over 27 operating hours — more than a shift for a single machine, too little for a production line. That is the boundary at which the decision between GRIP and a permanently installed VIP4Tools is made.
The air pressure range of 4 to 6 bar deliberately sits below that of the fixed installations: the pump has to work on any ordinary workshop connection, even where line pressure fluctuates. Its upper temperature window of +55 °C is by contrast lower than VIP4Tools — close to hot processes the fixed installation is the more robust choice.
