H1 lubricants: Guide for food-related areas
H1 lubricants are used when occasional, technically unavoidable contact with food cannot be ruled out - e.g. B. in filling, mixing or packaging lines.
Where are H1 products needed?
- Open warehouses/tours near product flow
- Conveyor technology, fillers, labelers, cartoners
- Valves/drives across process zones
Selection criteria
- Medium: Oil (viscosity based on temperature/speed) or grease (NLGI 00-2)
- Temperature window: Start/operating temperatures & load
- Material compatibility: Seals/elastomers
- Vicinity: Moisture, cleaning chemicals, steam
Process & Hygiene
- Clearly mark refill points (avoid confusion)
- Coordinate cleaning regime with lubrication plan
- Documentation: quantities/intervals, batches, filter changes
